JUNE 2009 PRESBYTERY AGENDA

Oxford Presbytery is called to meet at Willis United Church, Drumbo, Wednesday June 10, meal 6:00 p.m., (No Divisions).

This is the year-end banquet , covenanting service with the incoming chair of Oxford Presbytery, and recognition of the new chair-elect.

REMINDERS

1. The new secretary of Oxford Presbytery is Marianne Riach, 519-539-4074 ,    oxpressec@gmail.com

2. Books from the Grand River Spiritual & Educational Resource Bookstore will be available throughout the evening. Come early & browse.

3. Whenever hosting a meeting, please be aware that, in addition to the Roll Call table, a table is needed near the check-in table, for flyers and other handouts.

4. No books need be brought to the June meeting.  All books from the Drumbo/Richwood Pastoral Charge, including individual books from each church should be brought to the September meeting.

5. Please let the secretary know if your church would be willing to host a meeting of Oxford Presbytery November 2009 – May 2010.

 

CONSENT DOCKET

A CONSENT DOCKET contains motions which are not likely to require discussion, although questions may be asked, if necessary. The following are facilitating motions for this meeting:

  1. The agenda be accepted as printed and circulated

  2. The ROLL CALL be those who indicate their presence on the attendance sheet

  3. All visitors be extended the privilege of CORRESPONDING MEMBERS, thus having voice but no vote

  4. MOTIONS be clearly written or typed for the secretary

  5. A SECRET BALLOT be used for PASTORAL RELATIONS’ matters when requested by a member of the court.

  6. The EXECUTIVE OF OXFORD PRESBYTERY be granted PRESBYTERY POWERS for making decisions between monthly meetings of Oxford Presbytery.
